Elliott Cole (b.1985) is a photographic artist based in the United Kingdom. His work commonly addresses social and environmental issues and how we interact with our surroundings.
His work uses a loose documentary style where atmosphere, ambiguity, metaphor and narrative are central to his practice.
His recent work has engaged with subject matters including mental health coping strategies, our relationship to the natural world and marginalised communities in the South West of England.
The style of Elliott’s work lends itself to a broad range of applications such as fashion, lifestyle, travel and advertising.
As well as pursuing the self-initiated research-led projects that underpin his practice, Elliott works both editorially and commercially. His work has been published in publications such as The Guardian, Boneshaker and Huck, and commercial clients include KPMG and Rolls Royce.
He received a BA in photography from Nottingham Trent University in 2009 and has recently completed an MA in photography at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).
